Hi, I’m Kimberly! Welcome to my food blog!
I was born and raised in Louisville, KY and am a lover of all things food related. I have enjoyed cooking and baking since a young age, and my first Dinner Party was when I was 10 years old. I prepared a multi-course meal for eight people, complete with printed menus and personalized place cards.
This passion for food led me to graduate from Furman University in Greenville, SC with a B.S. in Nutrition. During my time at Furman, I tried to keep up with my passion for food by getting involved with the Culinary Club. I ended up becoming President of the Culinary Club for three years, and enjoyed sharing my passion for cooking with others.
That is what led me to start this blog! I want to show others that cooking is not only fun, it can also be really simple to make! Cooking doesn’t have to be complex to be delicious. Food also can be healthy and delicious at the same time. I whole-heartedly agree with a few simple substitutions anything can be made a tiny bit healthier.
However, one of my favorites meals to prepare is dessert! While I occasionally try to lighten my desserts up a bit, sometimes that’s just not an option. And I think that is perfectly acceptable! Sometimes you just really need a decadent treat!
Currently I am attending UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX pursuing my Masters in Nutrition. I will also become a Registered Dietitian so that I can share all my new-found nutrition knowledge with others.
